Hey !
Some developers, artists, technology hobbyists want to use Unreal Engine on Linux. There is a problem : the setup (especially when updating) can be a little bit… tricky.
I had to update mine so I decided to record and share the process with you. Have a good #UE4 !

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I am a high school student in the U.S. and have been wondering how to do this. I am intimidated about going down this route, but need to get off Windows 7 (no more security updates after this year), and have been using Linux Mint for a few months. This is one of my biggest desires, so thank you very much!
Hey ! Thank YOU for this nice comment. If you need more informations about installing things on Ubuntu/Mint, you can take a look here : https://chezjau.studio/how-to-install-on-ubuntu-and-derivatives/
In the video, I made a mistake : the setup installs all the dependances, but after "./Setup.sh", you have to run "./GenerateProjectFiles.sh" before you can "make". Again, the "written doc ; https://chezjau.studio/how-to-install-on-ubuntu-and-derivatives/5/
You can also check my beauuUuutiful asset pack https://chezjau.studio/stylized-pixel-tower/ and the next one, about "pooring wine" (veeeerry serious stuff !!) is coming. Sometimes, you need to be veeeery patient with Epic Store…
Have fun !
